Weekday weddings are a hot trend right now. Once only popular in Europe, we’ve finally caught onto the trend due in large part to challenging economic times. The reality is that it can be substantially cheaper to get married during the week than on the weekend. There are really only two drawbacks to a weekday wedding. It is less than ideal for out of town guests. And, if you planned to dance all night, bear in mind that while you luxuriate in your honeymoon suite the next day most of your guests will be engaged in battle with their alarm clocks trying to rise and shine for work.
Weekday weddings open up a world of possibilities:
- First and foremost are the financial advantages. Venues and vendors alike may not be fully booked during the week and as a result may offer lower pricing during what is considered to be a non-peak time.
- Availability is another great advantage. Many popular venues are booked one to two years in advance on weekends especially during high volume months. Instead of settling for second best, opt for a weekday wedding at the venue of your dreams.
- Weekday weddings are an excellent choice for couples jetting off to a destination wedding. You will be able to share the experience with family and friends that won’t be traveling with you and you won’t have to break the bank. In addition you will have the security of knowing that your wedding ceremony is legal.
