Have Your Micro Wedding on One of the Next Upcoming Holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Spring Celebration

Holiday Wedding

Wouldn’t you love to have your micro wedding in Toronto on one of our upcoming holidays? If you have family and friends from out of town, the holidays would be a perfect time for them to come in for a wedding. And think of all the fun elements that you could work into your small wedding. Here are some ways to make your holiday wedding very special.

Thanksgiving Wedding:

Use copper or antique gold as the cornerstone of your wedding color scheme and add other colors to enhance the color scheme. You can use white, brown, black, ivory, peacock blue, or gray. White, ivory, and peacock blue will help you add a dramatic touch to your wedding day, while black will add a dramatic touch. Additionally, you can use orange, terracotta, and amber to add more details and decor to your wedding day colors.

Festive Thanksgiving weddings should feature all things fall, especially when it comes to decor. Celebrate autumn by incorporating seasonal touches into your wedding decor, from fall blooms in floral arrangements to fall-colored table settings.

Christmas Weddings:

Simple and elegant single-colored bouquets like white calla lilies or red roses, look striking and dramatic for Christmas weddings. Here’s what’s in season in winter – Amaryllis, Anemone, Camellias, Casablanca Lilies, Carnations, Forget-me-nots, Gardenias, Holly, Jasmine, Orchids, Narcissus Paperwhite, Poinsettias, Roses and Tulips.

Wintry color schemes work well for Christmas weddings. Popular winter color palettes include burgundy and blush, silver and sage, navy and gold, icy blue and cream, plum and emerald, bottle green and tweed brown.

Choose a winter wedding dress with long sleeves or lots of glitter. For grooms, a classic black tuxedo always looks good, but warm seasonal colours like a burgundy or bottle green velvet, or even a silvery grey for an icy theme.

Brides will want to cover up to stop getting chilly so choose a cool bridal jacket or cape. For an edgy look, try a leather bridal jacket. For a glamorous look, add a faux fur wrap or shawl. For an on-trend look, wear a shearling jacket.

Bridesmaid dresses need to be bold – think metallic colors, jewel tones, sequins or even dramatic white bridesmaid dresses

After the ceremony a glass of mulled wine or cider is perfect.

New Year’s Eve wedding:

A New Year’s Eve wedding is full of glitz and glam so why not incorporate this into your bridal party outfits with sequin bridesmaid dresses or jumpsuits. Black is wonderful when teamed with sparkle, so feel free to mix and match black or sequin dresses for a chic look that your bride squad will want to wear again. As for guests, everyone loves any excuse to get really dressed up, so why not stipulate a black-tie dress code.

Choose a signature Champagne cocktail for guests to toast with. On your anniversary each year you can then continue to toast into the New Year with your signature Champagne tipple.

Ask your band or DJ to include a New Year’s Eve countdown and pick the song you want them to play afterwards, so that everyone gets in the spirit of the moment together.

Valentine’s Day Wedding:

Your Valentine’s Day flowers and bouquets will also look incredible in pink and red tones! The most popular flowers for Valentine’s Day are, of course, roses! Although, other popular flowers include tulips, orchids, carnations, peonies and chrysanthemums.

For the bride, choose a dress with minimal lace work, floral appliqués or light touches of red or pink on it. A pink wedding gown can provide a level of romance, while accessories such as jewelry that is heart-shaped or floral headpieces incorporate this theme. For the groom, there is a choice of black suit with either red or pink tie or pocket square. Try something different with unusual boutonnieres or customized cufflinks to inject a playful element.

Mother’s Day Wedding:

Have your mother walk you down the aisle. Even if your father is walking you down, let both of them escort you.

Pick a song the two of you love. Start off just the two of you, then invite the rest of the mothers and daughters at your reception to join.

Borrow something from her wedding day. Carrying something of your mom’s with you down the aisle is a sweet way to show that you’ll always have her close to you.

Use her favorite blooms. Whatever her favorite flower is, include a few blossoms in your bouquet. Be sure to use them in her corsage.

Spring Celebration weddings:

Spring weddings are all about fresh flowers, airy color palettes, romantic settings and garden-inspired details that complement the season of new beginnings.

Bright and bold color palettes are perfect for a spring wedding, adding a vibrant and lively touch to the celebration. There are endless options, from shades of pink and orange to bold blues and greens. For an extra pop of color, incorporate fresh florals or textured linens into your decor.

Springtime practically calls out for a beautiful wedding cake with plentiful fresh flowers. The design options can be as ornate or simple as you like. If you prefer a more casual option, cupcakes can be a fun alternative for your wedding.
